PC9 Wings Program

The PC9 Wings Program requires Airflite to conduct deeper maintenance on all PC9/A flight controls, wings, fuselages and aircraft structures under contract to the Commonwealth of Australia.

A dedicated team of specialised aircraft structural technicians perform the deeper maintenance in a facility purposely reserved for the structural activities of Airflite. Other function performed by this team in support of the PC9/A Wings Program include:

Wing Spa Replacements
Deeper maintenance of structural components
Complex repairs
Repair by replacement
Restoration of the structural integrity of the aircraft.

Airflite has conducted this program for the RAAF since the end of 2004. The result of the program will be to extend the life of the current RAAF military training fleet, providing the Air Force with more use from its assets.
