Aircraft Maintenance Previous Experience
Since establishing a maintenance organisation in 1981 Airflite has has extensive experience in the area of aircraft maintenance. This includes some the following:
Airflite performs these services on a regular basis:
• All schedule maintenance inspections
• Major structural inspection and repairs
• Anti-Deterioration Servicings
• Corrosion control and repairs
• Surface finishing and repainting
• Service Bulletins and modifications
• Avionics systems installation and update (refer to the Avionics Section of the website)
• Complete interior refurbishment
• Defect Rectification
• Cessna Supplemental Inspection Document (SID) Program repairs to 300 and 400 series Cessna aircraft.
Airflite has also performed engine maintenance, repairs and servicings on the following engine types:
• Honeywell - TPE331 & TFE731 Series
• Continental - All range of models
• Lycoming - All range of models
• Pratt & Whitney - PT6A, JT15D, PW500 & PW530A Series
• Williams & Rolls - FJ44 Series
The Company has also repaired and serviced the following Engine components:
• Pratt & Whitney PT6 Hot Section Inspection
• Garrett TPE-331 and Pratt & Whitney PT6 Fuel Nozzles and Accessory Components
• Pratt & Whitney PT6 Engine Bleed Valves
• Cessna Inlet Fuel Float Valves
• Continental Fuel Control Systems

Airflite has also had unique experience in Aircraft Modifications. Repair schemes have included extensive post accident restoration repairs, fatigue cracks, corrosion and general wear and tear repairs. The Company is also experienced in whole wing spar replacement programs. This has lead in part to a complete department of Airflite dedicated to aircraft structural repair. Airflite has a proven capability in the incorporation of manufacturers structural and system modifications to both civilian and
military aircraft. Examples of major modification programs undertaken by Airflite:
• Conversion of Cessna Caravan to an amphibian role aircraft,
• Reconfiguration of RAAF PC-9/A PT6 Engine Control Systems,
• Cessna 400 series wing spar replacements,
• Cockpit Voice Recorder Installation on Macchi aircraft,
• Rebuild Engine Firewalls,
• Rebuild Flight Controls e.g aileron, elevators and flaps,
• Rebuild Floats and
• Preform Engineering Orders
